OH NO! THE U.S. AND ISRAEL ARE BRINGING PEACE!

Columnist | Mr. Sedat MEMİLİ
The oppressed did not stop dying; the oppressors grew weary of oppressing.
The deepest betrayals arrive cloaked in loyalty, the greatest evils in the name of virtue, and the largest destructions under the banner of peace… Today’s greatest misfortune is that organized evil is being led by organized ignorance.

Let me express, with Mehmet Âkif’s lines, what bandit-governments understand by peace:

“The old world, the new world, all the peoples of mankind, Boil like sand, like a deluge, an apocalypse by crowds. The seven climates of the world stand before you, You look, together with Australia: Canada! Faces are different, tongues, skins are multicolored: There is a single simple event in the middle: Atrocities are equal.”

The painters of this scene proposed a peace: the disarmament of the Ottoman State and the demobilization of its armies… The so-called peace called Sèvres meant millions of people sacrificed on the altars of plunderers.

Let there be no Kuva-yi Milliye, let there be no new Turkey… This is what the plunderers mean by peace.

What the U.S. government understands by peace is told by the world map of the last hundred years. Where you see rivers of blood, where you see tears, pillaged mines, burned trees—there the U.S., together with its local collaborators, has been “bringing peace.”

The pages they call their “victory” in their history are the darkest pages that tell of destruction and catastrophe for the people of other countries.

What they mean by peace is what Hitler told the Austrian Prime Minister:

“We do not want war; if you do everything I say…”

When Hitler uttered those conditions he was in the mountain house he had built for himself and there were guns pointed at the Austrian Prime Minister.

Starting with Turkey on September 12 and including Iran, Guatemala, Zaire, the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Chile, Cambodia, Angola, Libya, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti, Yugoslavia, Syria… The still-fresh blood in these countries is enough to explain what the U.S. understands by peace.

WHAT ISRAEL UNDERSTANDS BY PEACE…

Let us explain that from the Torah, called the “Holy Book”:

Jacob cheated his father and seized the birthright of his brother Esau. Esau becomes enraged and pursues his brother. Jacob, fleeing from his brother with his clan, comes to the borders of the city of Shechem.

When Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite ruler of that region, sees Jacob’s daughter Dina he falls in love with her. He has relations with her and then tells his father Hamor:

“Take this girl as my wife,” he says.

The ruler’s son is also named Shechem.

“Shechem’s father goes to Jacob and his sons: ‘My son’s heart is set on your daughter; please give her to my son as a wife. Become kin with us. Let us intermarry. Live with us. The land is before you—settle where you like, trade, acquire property…’” (Genesis 34:8–10)

Wherever they went, Jacob and his sons, who had been driven out, were already looking for a place to settle. They made a plan in their heads and told them:

“No, we will not give our sister to an uncircumcised man; that would be a disgrace to us.” And they put forward a condition: “If all your men are circumcised like us, then we can intermarry, live with you, be one people…” (Genesis 34:17)

The ruler’s son immediately accepts this condition. He is in love with the girl.

Shechem and his father Hamor return to the city and consult with the city elders about the situation and the proposed terms:

“These people have shown us kindness,” they say. “Let them live in our land, trade here; our lands are wide; there is enough for them and for us…”

Then they present the condition:

“They want our men to be circumcised like themselves…”

The townspeople welcome this peace proposal. And all the men of the city become circumcised.

What follows we quote verbatim from the Torah:

“On the third day, while the men were still in pain from the circumcision, two of Jacob’s sons—Simeon and Levi—armed their swords and entered the city without arousing suspicion and put all the men to the sword. They killed Hamor and his son Shechem. They took their sister Dina from Shechem’s house and went away with her. Then Jacob’s sons plundered the city, stripping the dead. Because their sister had been defiled. They took all the flocks, cattle, and donkeys in the town and country. They took all their goods, their children, and their women; they plundered everything in their houses…” (Torah, Genesis 34:25–29)

There can be no peace achieved by Israel through the disarmament of Palestine. The big picture prevents Israel from making peace. They could not finish the oppressed by killing them; now they are tired of inflicting oppression and have withdrawn to rest.

A side note: Jacob means “deceiver” and this name was given to him by the Lord Yahweh. The name Jacob, meaning “deceiver,” was again changed by the Lord Yahweh to "Israel".
